Christmas Meal 2013
We had our 2nd annual Christmas meal on 13th December. We went to the Hare Arms once again, had the Old Coach House all to ourselves and this year, 23 members came :) We did Secret Santa, and had a lovely meal. A great way to round off 2013.

New name :-)
The vote on our new name finished at last night's group meeting. The results are as follows:
Creative Fingers - 1 vote
Needlecrafters - 2 votes
Busy Fingers - 3 votes
Needles and Pins - 7 votes
Crafters - 8 votes
Crafty Knitters - 10 votes
So...our new name is:
ST EDMUND'S CRAFTY KNITTERS
and here's our new logo:
Hoping it reflects the fact we are mainly knitters who also do other crafty bits and pieces. Just noticed that the dot above the i is a heart. Awww. xx

We are changing our group's name!
Been talking about this on and off over the last year, and now with our first birthday looming at the end of this month it seems appropriate to make the change. It's also more appropriate now than it was a year ago, as increasingly, group members are bringing projects to work on that are not knitting or crochet. These are the choices we brainstormed this morning. So.........
I like the play on the word crafty with this one. 4 syllables but fewer words.
This one leaves you in no doubt that this is what we do...craft :-) Plus it only has 2 syllables.
Five syllables makes this one a bit long, but it's in the running.
This is clever, covers all bases, and is just one word (but 4 syllables). Incidentally it was the name suggested by Fr James from St Edmund's Church ;-)
No, it isn't just a playschool or nursery name. There are several craft shops and groups with this name. 4 syllables
but concise.
You get the idea......4 syllables, but nice.
and just so you can see them all close together.........

Our 1st Annual Christmas Meal
Last night 16 of us went to the Hare Arms at Stow Bardolph for our Christmas meal. We had a wonderful evening, with lovely food, great service and exceptional company. The menu was extensive and everyone ate really well. When it got to coffee time, we distributed the secret santa gifts. It's amazing what you can buy with a £5 limit! There were candles, mugs, smellies, doggy treats, a tablecloth, chocolates, plants and lots more. Photos below......
The first ones are taken in the bar where we congregated before the meal.
